Vista driver for HP Scanjet 5300C
Recently If you're reading this and are indeed the owner of a Scanjet 5300c or other 5300 model, and you recently upgraded to Windows Vista, then you are probably one pissed off individual. Like me, you went to the HP website to download the Vista drivers and you were greeted by this PATHETIC message:We are sorry to inform you that there will be no Windows Vista support available for your HP product. Therefore your product will not work with Windows Vista. The majority of HP products not supported in Windows Vista are beyond seven years old. If you are using the Windows Vista operating system on your computer, please consider upgrading to a newer HP product that is supported on Windows Vista.HP has numerous products on the market that support Windows Vista:http://www.hp.com/united-states/tradein/home_flash.htmlI actually had to re-read this,
But below given is a great link to circumvent this problem is you have a 5300 series HP scanner. This irresponsible behaviour of HP is going to make customers make choices other than HP when the next time they go to buy a computer or a related product. Atleast I bought a sony VAIO laptop instead of an HP laptop.
Just click on the link below and follow the instructions.
